Polyurethane Manufacture
Adhesives
CAPA® polyols are used in the manufacture of polyurethane adhesives in all forms, including TPU's, solvent based and aqueous dispersions. Typical end uses are:
  • Bonding Shoe Soles and Uppers    
  • Laminated Packaging    
  • Textile Bonding    
  • Magnetic Tape Adhesive

The benefits provided by CAPA® products are:

  • Low viscosity polyols and polyurethanes leads to reduced solvent and VOC.     
  • Low viscosity systems aids wet out.    
  • Excellent adhesion to different substrates including leather.    
  • CAPA® polyols are aliphatic and hence are light stable.    
  • CAPA® polyols are non toxic and biodegradable.    
  • CAPA® polyester polyols provide excellent oil and UV stability.     
  • Very good hydrolysis resistance in comparison with to other polyesters.    
  • Low density in comparison with to other polyester based polyurethanes ca. 4%.    
  • Excellent low temperature flex properties, fatigue and wide working temperature range.   
  • Outstanding tear strengths.
