Elastomeric foam applications for CAPA® polyols focus on speciality, high density microcellular systems. Some speciality, high functionality CAPA® polyols are used in the manufacture of high performance rigid foams. Typical end uses are:
- Shoe Soles
- Jounce Bumpers
- Automotive Suspension Components
- Insulation Panels
- Vibration Inhibition
The benefits provided by CAPA® products are:
- High tear strengths.
- Low density compared with other polyester systems resulting in a saving of 4-8% of polyurethane used.
- Very good low temperature flex fatigue characteristics.
- Very stable prepolymers.
- Low compression set.
- Low viscosity polyol.
- Controlled, consistent reactivity.
- Polyester polyol giving excellent oil resistance.
- Very good hydrolytic stability.
