The combination of adhesion to difficult substrates and low melting temperature enables thermoplastic grades of CAPA® to be used in speciality hot melt adhesive applications. In particular, the low melting point and low melt viscosity combine to make CAPA® hot melts suitable for use with temperature sensitive substrates.
The growth in demand for reactive hot melts has also highlighted the versatility of CAPA® products where the functionality and molecular weights can be varied to maximise performance. Typical end uses are:
- Shoe Counters
- Reactive Hot Melts for Non-wovens
- Binder for Non-wovens
- Scatter Coat Interlining Adhesives
