CAPA for spearhead performance

Solvent Based PU's

CAPA® polyols are used in the manufacture of solvent based polyurethane adhesives. They are particularly useful due to the low viscosity and high solids content that can be obtained. Typical end uses are:

  • Bonding Shoe Soles and Uppers
  • Laminated Packaging
  • Textile Bonding
  • Magnetic Tape Adhesive

The benefits provided by CAPA® products are:

  • Low viscosity polyols and polyurethanes leads to reduced solvent and VOC.
  • Low viscosity systems aids wet out.
  • Excellent adhesion to different substrate including leather.
  • CAPA® polyols are aliphatic and hence are light stable.
  • CAPA® polyols are non toxic and biodegradable.
  • CAPA® polyester polyols provide excellent oil and UV stability.
  • Very good hydrolysis resistance in comparison with to other polyesters.
  • Low density in comparison with to other polyester based polyurethanes ca. 4%.
  • Excellent low temperature properties and wide working temperature range.

  • Outstanding tear strengths.
