CAPA® FB grades are unique polycaprolactone thermoplastics, which have specifically been designed for conversion into blown film on conventional equipment. These can be used in high performance laminating adhesives. Typical end uses are:
- Shoe Counters
- Binder for Non-wovens
- Paper Laminates
The benefits provided by CAPA® products are:
- Excellent adhesion to leather and other difficult substrates.
- Low temperature activation.
- Reactivated by heat, no solvent needed.
- Biodegradable.
- Non-toxic.
- Crystalline, rigid polymer with high elongation.
- Polar polyester easily pigmented or coloured.
- Compatible with wide range of polymers.
- Hydroxyl groups allow sites for reaction.
- Low melt viscosity allows ease of application and penetration into substrate.
- Low Tg gives good low temperature performance.
CAPA® thermoplastics can also be converted to cast or blown film for use in laminated adhesive film.
