The unique combination of physical properties, coupled with their excellent compatibility/ miscibility with many different types of polymers, enable CAPA® thermoplastics to enhance the performance or ease the processing of a wide range of other thermoplastics.
Typical end uses are as process aids for extrusion and moulding applications.
The benefits provided by CAPA® products are:
- Low melting point of 60°C enables blending at low temperatures avoiding thermal ageing or degradation.
- Low melt viscosity ensures good polymer flow in moulds or at die face.
- Non-toxic.
- Crystalline polymer which is non-tacky until close to its melting point leading to fewer handling problems, such as bridging in hoppers.
- Low moisture pick and no drying required to processing.
- Compatible with a wide range of polymers.
