GENERAL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
CAPA® 2101A is a premium grade linear polyester diol derived from caprolactone monomer, terminated by primary hydroxyl groups. It has a molecular weight of 1000 and a typical OH value of 112 mg KOH/g.
The product has been specially developed as an intermediate for the production of high-grade polyurethane elastomers, but offers lower reactivity to isocyanates than either CAPA® 2100 or 2100A, the other 1000 mol.wt. products in the CAPA® range. It will form stable prepolymers with MDI. It can also be used in polyurethane adhesive, surface coating and flexible foam applications, and as a resin intermediate.
